My name is Cati, and I am the photographer of Sparkle & Bloom!

 

After obtaining a degree in fine art photography and spending a number of years working in childcare, I decided that I wanted to find a way to make a career that involved doing the two things I loved doing most: capturing beautiful photographs of the world around me and the people in it, and staring at babies for hours on end. And thus… Sparkle & Bloom was born.

Photographing relationships has become a very natural way for me to get to know people. I find children especially enjoyable to photograph because they are unafraid to be themselves, and are therefore very easy to get to know.  The more intimately I know someone, the easier it is to create beautiful photographs of them.  Most of my favorite photographs from each session are the ones that capture something unique to that family or to that person, regardless of whether or not those moments were ‘picture perfect.’  I look forward to the opportunity to get to know you and your family!
